Résumé :
Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the promising technologies that aims at integrating both physical and digital worlds in one single ecosystem. One of the main challenges that hinder the development of it is security and privacy. In the first part of the presentation, I will discuss our contributions concerning the security and privacy challenges in IoT using the blockchain technology. Next, the second part of the presentation will be devoted to the discussion of privacy challenges related to Vehicular Ad Hoc networks (VANETs). We focus on the presentation of privacy challenges related to data sharing between vehicles and Road Side Units (RSU) infrastructure. As these vehicles and RSUs are not fully trusted and subjected to several malicious attacks, it raises new serious privacy challenges regarding the driver’s sensitive shared data. Indeed, an attacker can listen to sensitive information to trace a specific vehicle, identify its driver and profile his movements. To address these issues, we present a new data-sharing scheme that protects the privacy of vehicles and drivers. This scheme relies on the blockchain, smart contracts and Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP). Finally, we discuss the main numerical results showing that our scheme achieves a reasonable efficiency while guaranteeing a high level of privacy.
Biographie:
Dr. Djamel-Eddine Kouicem obtained his Ph.D degree from the University of Technology of Compiegne (UMR CNRS 7253) in November 2019. In September 2016, he gained a MSC diploma in Computer Science – Networking from the University of Paris 6 in France. In July 2015, he received Engineer Diploma in computer science from the High National School of Computer Science in Algiers.
