Titre: A Study of Diversity and Sustainability Trade-offs in Group Thermal Comfort Provision
Abstract: The existing approaches to providing occupants with thermal comfort mainly focus on individual preference but, in most situations, people don’t have the same thermal preference. We introduce a methodology for evaluation that measures the impact of different strategies along three metrics: thermal comfort for individuals, thermal comfort equality, and energy consumption. We analyze the strengths and weaknesses of existing techniques and propose a Hybrid approach that takes the strength of the others.
