En 2013, les verrous technologiques autour des cavit\u00e9s auto-aliment\u00e9es limitaient leur expansion. Notre propos fut de les aborder selon une approche \u201ccomposant\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A partir de caract\u00e9risations crois\u00e9es entre des RSOA vari\u00e9s et de simulations, nous avons montr\u00e9 :<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; l\u2019importance du seuil du RSOA sur les performances globales ;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; les r\u00f4les de l\u2019\u00e9mission spontan\u00e9e, de la densit\u00e9 de porteurs, des recombinaisons Auger et de la hauteur des barri\u00e8res ;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; la sensibilit\u00e9 des RSOA fort gain au ripple.<\/p>\n<p>Livr\u00e9s \u00e0 nos partenaires, les RSOA bande O men\u00e8rent \u00e0 des r\u00e9sultats \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tat de l\u2019art tandis que les RSOA aluminium ne tinrent les promesses esp\u00e9r\u00e9es. Nous cherch\u00e2mes alors \u00e0 trouver des solutions alternatives. Comparativement au RSOA, Fabry-P\u00e9rot comme RSOA-EAM limitent le chirp et sont de plus grande bande passante. Toutefois, int\u00e9gr\u00e9s en cavit\u00e9, ils ne d\u00e9pass\u00e8rent pas les 2,5 Gbit\/s pour un BER restreint. Pourtant, pris s\u00e9par\u00e9ment, RSOA et EAM autorisent des d\u00e9bits jusqu\u2019\u00e0 20 Gbit\/s. Nous pensons que remplacer le tron\u00e7on de fibre par de l\u2019optique en espace libre confirmerait le potentiel de ce concept.<\/p>\n<p>Mots cl\u00e9s : RSOA, RSOA-EAM, cavit\u00e9
