Depuis la victoire d’IBM Watson contre Ken Jennings lors du jeu Jeopardy, Google et Facebook ont introduit des algorithmes d’apprentissage profond (Deep Learning) pour la reconnaissance de la voix et des images au sein de leurs applications. L’engouement autour des m\u00e9tiers et des march\u00e9s li\u00e9s aux machines apprenantes, commence \u00e0 dessiner un mouvement de fond sur l’importance de l’informatique cognitive et de l’intelligence artificielle. C’est une avanc\u00e9e majeure, une v\u00e9ritable rupture, car c’est bien notre vie de tous les jours qui va changer et l’industrie, notamment du logiciel, est donc confront\u00e9e \u00e0 de nouveaux d\u00e9fis. En effet, le d\u00e9veloppement de logiciels en se basant sur le langage naturel pour les machines apprenantes requiert de nouvelles m\u00e9thodes de collecte et de traitement des donn\u00e9es. Nous sommes plus proche de la recherche scientifique que des techniques traditionnelles. Pendant cette conf\u00e9rence, J\u00e9r\u00f4me Pesenti va d\u00e9crire les nouvelles avanc\u00e9es de cette informatique cognitive, montrer qu’il n’y a de la substance derri\u00e8re le buzz, expliquer les nouveaux d\u00e9fis pour l’ing\u00e9nierie logicielle, et aborder les nouvelles comp\u00e9tences que cela exige et qui seront activement recherch\u00e9es.<\/p>\n
J\u00e9r\u00f4me Pesenti <\/strong> est vice-pr\u00e9sident, Core Technology, chez IBM Watson. Il dirige une \u00e9quipe de d\u00e9veloppeurs et de chercheurs en charge de la plateforme Watson – un ensemble de services cognitifs qu’\u00e9tudiants, start-ups, ou entreprises class\u00e9es Fortune 500, peuvent int\u00e9grer via le Cloud. J\u00e9r\u00f4me Pesenti a rejoint IBM apr\u00e8s l’acquisition de Vivisimo, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de solutions de recherche innovantes qu’il a cofond\u00e9e il ya quatorze ans. Avant Vivisimo, J\u00e9r\u00f4me \u00e9tait un chercheur invit\u00e9 au d\u00e9partement informatique de l’Universit\u00e9 Carnegie Mellon, effectuant des recherches sur le clustering de documents, l’extraction de donn\u00e9es (data mining) et l’intelligence artificielle. J\u00e9r\u00f4me est un entrepreneur Carnegie Science et un laur\u00e9at \u00ab\u00a040 under 40\u00a0\u00bb de Pittsburgh. Il est ancien \u00e9l\u00e8ve de l’\u00c9cole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 Paris et poss\u00e8de un doctorat en math\u00e9matiques fondamentales et un dipl\u00f4me en philosophie et sciences cognitives.
