Frignac : \u00ab Optical transmission systems : recent evolutions and next steps \u00bb<\/p>\n Abstract : Following a short description of the historical techniques that have helped to increase the capacity-by-transmission-distance product of fiber transmission systems we then focus on the principles of polarization and wavelength division multiplexed systems with QPSK modulation that are in implementation today. A description of the transmitter, fiber line and receiver is shown, detailing the fiber propagation model. As a potential capacity crunch of the fiber ability to answer the world telecom needs is expected, we finally indicate the next steps to keep on improving the transmission capacity carried out by fiber systems, enhancing either the information spectral density or the bandwidth used.<\/p>\n 2- P. Cet expos\u00e9 se focalise sur l’\u00e9tude d’un syst\u00e8me int\u00e9grant un certain nombre de ces avanc\u00e9es: la d\u00e9tection coh\u00e9rente, les modulations non-binaires, les codes correcteurs avanc\u00e9s ainsi que le multiplexage en longueur d’onde ou WDM (Wavelength-Division Multiplexing).<\/p>\n Afin d’augmenter encore l’efficacit\u00e9 spectrale des transmissions optique de type WDM, il est possible de tol\u00e9rer un certain recouvrement des canaux dans le domaine spectral. Ceci revient \u00e0 introduire volontairement des interf\u00e9rences entre canaux WDM.<\/p>\n Nous montrons comment au niveau du r\u00e9cepteur, des techniques de traitement du signal exploitant la pr\u00e9sence de codes correcteurs avanc\u00e9s permettent de compenser conjointement l’effet de la fibre optique ainsi que les interf\u00e9rences entre canaux WDM.
