Title: Security and Privacy in Post-Quantum World<\/p>\n

Abstract:<\/strong> It is now widely acknowledged that quantum computers are the tangible future of computing, and that their availability will be a reality, probably within 15 years. Unfortunately, it is also well known that the current cryptographic techniques that protect our computer systems today (and that are pervasive in our everyday life) will not be secure anymore once powerful quantum computers will be available! The aim of my research is to pave the way for this future by developing new techniques that will be resistant to quantum computers. Lattice-based cryptography is one of the possible candidates for post-quantum security. My prior and current research has been focusing on post-quantum privacy preserving primitives such as zero-knowledge proofs, ring and group signatures which would provide the required privacy in different blockchain applications. Security aspects of cryptographic primitives also belong to my research questions such as security analysis of schemes defined in the quantum random oracle model. (Eurocrypt 2020).<\/p>\n

Biography<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Veronika is a Research Fellow at FIT, Monash University under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Joseph Liu. She received a diploma degree (equiv. MSc) in Mathematics from the Heidelberg University in Germany and a PhD degree in Computer Science (Applied Cryptography) from University of Surrey, United Kingdom in December 2016. From 2016-2018 she was a Post-doc researcher in the Computer Science department at Universite libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in Belgium. Since the last 2 years she has been working on post-quantum cryptography. She has been focusing on lattice-based zero-knowledge proofs applicable to blockchain scenario. She has publications at top-tier conferences including EUROCRYPT and ESORICS. She has developed a strong collaboration with international Universities such as Deakin University, ULB, University of Luxembourg, ENS. Since February 2020 she has taken the role of a group leader in the blockchain study group at Monash University. The man goals of this group are to explore and develop new post-quantum cryptographic primitives applicable to blockchain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
