La croissance rapide des applications en ligne ainsi que l’\u00e9volution de l’exploration
\nde donn\u00e9es (data mining) et de l’apprentissage automatique (machine learning)
\nont cr\u00e9e de nouvelles menaces \u00e0 la protection de la vie priv\u00e9e des utilisateurs.
\nR\u00e9cemment, une s\u00e9rie de scandales concernant la mauvaise manipulation des
\ndonn\u00e9es priv\u00e9es a fait les grands titres de l’actualit\u00e9. Les utilisateurs se partagent
\nvolontairement leurs donn\u00e9es personnelles pour b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier gratuitement des
\nservices offerts par les applications. Toutefois, le type et la quantit\u00e9 de donn\u00e9es
\ncollect\u00e9es sont en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral confidentiels par nature et souvent peuvent etre
\nli\u00e9es \u00e0 d’autres types d’informations sensibles. Dans cette pr\u00e9sentation, nous
\nexplorons les implications des r\u00e9seaux sociaux en ligne sur la protection des
\ndonn\u00e9es et sur la vie priv\u00e9e. Nous d\u00e9crivons les principales menaces r\u00e9sultant de
\nl’utilisation abusive des donn\u00e9es priv\u00e9es et nous \u00e9tudions les diff\u00e9rents mod\u00e8les
\npermettant d’\u00e9valuer, de mesurer et de quantifier la protection des donn\u00e9es
\ndans les r\u00e9seaux sociaux en ligne.<\/p>\n

Biographie<\/strong>
\nSamia Oukemeni est titulaire d’un dipl\u00f4me d’ing\u00e9nieur en t\u00e9l\u00e9communications
\nde l’Institut National des Postes et T\u00e9l\u00e9communication \u00e0 Rabat, Maroc. Ce qui
\nlui a permis d’int\u00e9grer le Minist\u00e8re de l’Int\u00e9rieur du Maroc en tant qu’ing\u00e9nieur
\nen s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l’information et chef de projet pendant 4 ans ; 2010 – 2014.
\nElle est aussi titulaire d’un Master en S\u00e9curit\u00e9 des Syst\u00e8mes d’Information de Al
\nAkhawayn University \u00e0 Ifrane, Maroc et d’un Doctorat en s\u00e9curit\u00e9 informatique
\nde l’Universitat Oberta de Catalunya \u00e0 Barcelone, Espagne. Les travaux de
\nson Doctorat ont \u00e9t\u00e9 concentr\u00e9s sur l’\u00e9valuation de la protection des donn\u00e9es
\net de la confidentialit\u00e9 des informations dans les r\u00e9seaux sociaux en ligne.
\nActuellement, Samia est chercheuse post-doctorale \u00e0 l’Universitat Oberta de
\nCatalunya. Ses int\u00e9rets de recherche incluent la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l’information,
\nprivacy-enhancing technologies, la protection des donn\u00e9es, la cryptographie
\net la gouvernance des syst\u00e8mes d’information.<\/p>\n

Abstract:<\/strong>
\nThe rapid expansion of online platforms and applications, along with the increasing power of machine learning and data mining, have emerged new privacy concerns and threats. A chain of privacy-related public scandals linked to questionable data handling practices has arisen in the last past years. The personal information, shard voluntarily by users to benefit from the free-of-charge services or correlated from their activities and behavior, is used for the underlying payment. Researchers have designed new privacy-enhancing technologies and introduced new built-in privacy systems that offer online services to the users and advocate for privacy protection. Thus, understanding and measuring the exposure of user privacy in online platforms is becoming crucial. This presentation discusses the practices of privacy handling in the case of Online
\nSocial Networks, examines different types of privacy threats and concerns, and describes various models to assess, evaluate, and quantify privacy in Online Social Networks.<\/p>\n

Biography:<\/strong>
\nSamia Oukemeni obtained her Engineering degree in Telecommunications and
\nNetworks in 2010 from the \u00ab\u00a0Institut National des Postes et T\u00e9l\u00e9communication\u00a0\u00bb (Rabat, Morocco), a Master degree in Information Systems Security from Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (Morocco), and a Ph.D. in computer science
\nwith a focus on information security and privacy from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain) in 2019. From 2010 to 2014, she worked as an information security engineer and project manager at the Ministry of Interior (Rabat, Morocco).
\nHer Ph.D. research was in the field of data protection and information privacy evaluation and measurement in relation with Online Social Networks. At present, she is a post-doctoral researcher at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Her research interests include information security and cyber law, privacy-enhancing technologies, data protection, cryptography and governance, and information assurance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
