Tijani CHAHED, Professeur, Telecom SudParis , FRANCE <\/td>\n<td>Directeur de th\u00e8se<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>R\u00e9sum\u00e9 :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le paradigme d&rsquo;un r\u00e9seau RAN bas\u00e9 sur le cloud (C-RAN) est une technologie cl\u00e9 qui combine les solutions habilitantes r\u00e9pondant aux exigences de la 5G en termes de d\u00e9bit de donn\u00e9es, d&rsquo;\u00e9volutivit\u00e9 et de r\u00e9duction des co\u00fbts. Une architecture C-RAN repose sur deux caract\u00e9ristiques principales, \u00e0 savoir la centralisation, dans laquelle les ressources de calcul des stations de base, \u00e0 savoir les unit\u00e9s de bande de base (BBU), sont regroup\u00e9es dans un Cloud central, et la virtualisation, avec la possibilit\u00e9 que plusieurs op\u00e9rateurs de r\u00e9seau mobile virtuels (MVNO) partagent les ressources radio et les BBU afin de r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts et la maintenance des ressources physiques Dans cette th\u00e8se, nous visons \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper un cadre th\u00e9orique pour la gestion de ressources virtuelles dans le contexte du r\u00e9seau C-RAN, en d\u00e9duisant les limites de performances fondamentales ainsi que les compromis entre divers param\u00e8tres de syst\u00e8me. Nous proposons sp\u00e9cifiquement trois m\u00e9canismes diff\u00e9rents d\u2019allocation de ressources adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 la technologie C-RAN et permettant d\u2019accro\u00eetre l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 de l\u2019utilisation des ressources. Pour chaque m\u00e9canisme d&rsquo;allocation, nous avons d\u00e9fini un cadre d&rsquo;ench\u00e8res permettant de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des revenus \u00e9lev\u00e9s. Nous concevons une ench\u00e8re \u00e0 deux niveaux pour l&rsquo;allocation de ressources radio, dans un sc\u00e9nario avec un op\u00e9rateur central C-RAN, un ensemble de MVNO et leurs abonn\u00e9s. Nous abordons le probl\u00e8me du extit<em>calendaring<\/em> pour la r\u00e9servation des ressources radio dans le C-RAN, un contexte naturel dans lequel le extit<em>calendaring<\/em> pour la bande passante peut \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son architecture centralis\u00e9e. Un cadre bas\u00e9 sur la vente aux ench\u00e8res est con\u00e7u de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 garantir la maximisation des b\u00e9n\u00e9fices. Nous traitons l\u2019allocation conjointe radio et traitement dans le contexte de C-RAN en tant qu\u2019ench\u00e8re combinatoire. Nos approches r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques fondamentales: la v\u00e9racit\u00e9 et la rationalit\u00e9 individuelle. Les r\u00e9sultats num\u00e9riques d\u00e9montrent la performance de notre proposition dans divers contextes de r\u00e9seau et montrent que nos propositions peuvent garantir des r\u00e9sultats efficaces en terme de revenue.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The paradigm of a Cloud-based RAN (C-RAN) is a key technology that combines the enabling solutions for the 5G requirements in terms of data rate, scalability and cost savings. A C-RAN architecture is based on two key features namely, Centralization, wherein computational resources of base stations, namely Base Band Units (BBUs), are pooled together in a central Cloud, and Virtualization, with the possibility that several Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) share the radio resources and the BBU pool in order to reduce operational expenditure costs. In this thesis, we develop a theoretical framework for dynamic resource management in the C-RAN and derive the fundamental performance limits as well as the trade offs among various system parameters. We specifically propose 3 different resource allocation mechanisms that suit the C-RAN technology and help boost resource utilization efficiency. For each allocation mechanism, we set an auction framework to help generate high revenues. We first design a two-level auction for the allocation of radio resources, in a scenario with a central C-RAN operator, a set of MVNOs and their subscribed users. We second tackle the problem of calendaring for radio resource reservation in the C-RAN, a natural context in which bandwidth calendaring can be applied owing to its centralized architecture. An auction-based framework is tailored so as to guarantee profit maximization and a market proof to manipulation. Third, we address the issue of joint radio and processing allocation in the context of C-RAN as a combinatorial auction. Our auction-based approaches satisfy fundamental economic properties: truthfulness, individual rationality and computational efficiency. Our numerical results demonstrate the performance of our proposals in various network settings in terms of revenue maximization.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>L&rsquo;Ecole
