CALL FOR PAPERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

4th edition of Globe-IoT 2019: Towards Global Interoperability among IoT Systems
\njointly held with IEEE WF-IoT 2019
\nLimerick, Ireland, April 15-18, 2019<\/p>\n

While still in its infancy, the IoT domain already lists a number of solutions implemented, ranging from devices to platforms. However, the heterogeneity at all levels of those solution is preventing different solutions to interoperate effectively, despite a large number of efforts in the development of a unique reference standard for IoT systems technology. The situation is likely to worsen in the near future, as lack of interoperability causes major technological and business-oriented issues such as impossibility to plug non-interoperable IoT devices into heterogeneous IoT platforms, impossibility to develop IoT applications exploiting multiple platforms in homogeneous and\/or cross domains, slowness of IoT technology introduction at large-scale, discouragement in adopting IoT technology, increase of costs, scarce reusability of technical solutions, security and privacy problems, user dissatisfaction.<\/p>\n

This Workshop aims at investigating such lack of interoperability in the IoT realm by welcoming paper submissions providing innovative research as well as technical contributions on providing solutions to interoperability, integration, and interconnection of heterogeneous IoT systems, at any specific level (device, networking, middleware, application services, data and semantics) and at global platform level.

Submission Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n

Original work must be submitted that is not published or under submission elsewhere. All final submissions should be written in English with a maximum paper length of six printed pages including figures without incurring additional page charges (suggested length is four pages). Paper should be formatted according to IEEE conference style: https:\/\/www.ieee.org\/conferences\/publishing\/templates.html.

Review Process and Publication<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

All original submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed. Submissions will be judged on correctness, originality, technical strength, significance, presentation, quality, interest and relevance to workshop scope. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE WF-IoT Conference Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore.<\/p>\n

Journal Special Issue<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

Selected papers presented at the conference will be invited to a special issue organized in premier SCI-indexed Journal that is under selection and\/or in the Springer Series on IoT.<\/p>\n
