He is a full Professor at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telecom-sudparis.eu\/\">Telecom SudParis<\/a>.<\/p><p>His areas of interest are statistical signal processing and data science, and in particular Bayesian statistics and inference in hidden data models, sequential Monte Carlo methods, and variational inference. From 2014 to 2018 he has been an Associate Editor of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ieeexplore.ieee.org\/xpl\/RecentIssue.jsp?punumber=78\"><em>IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing<\/em><\/a> journal.<\/p><p>From 2014 to 2017 he has been a member of <a href=\"https:\/\/anr.fr\/\">ANR<\/a> (the French main funding agency) scientific committees (responsible for evaluation and ranking of grant applications).<\/p><p>From 2019 to 2023 he has been one of the Associate Scientific Directors of \u201cGdR ISIS\u201d (Information, Signal, Image and Vision) in charge of the topic \u201cMethods and models in signal processing\u201d (GDR ISIS is a CNRS-funded national network with ~3000 members from 150 research labs, and an important structure devoted to fostering and advancing signal &amp; image processing in France).<\/p><p>From 2008 to 2019 he has been the head of the \u201cInformation processing for images and communications\u201d team of the SAMOVAR lab (~ 20 researchers).<\/p><p>Since 2020, he has been the Director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/samovar.telecom-sudparis.eu\/\">SAMOVAR lab<\/a> (104 permanent researchers.
